Finally the third edition of the Meringa Cup is starting, a regatta for children aged from 8 to 15, organized under the Patronage of the Lombardy Region. The past editions were won by many famous names, like the three-time world champion Marco Gradoni.
This year the athletes will also compete for the Alpe del Garda Trophy. This trophy carries the name of a local farm that has been enhancing the resources of this area for over 35 years. It will be won by the team with the 3 best athletes.
The 140 participants from 14 different countries all over the world, will take advantage of this regatta to practice for the optimist world championship, which will take place at the end of the month in Riva del Garda.
