The weather conditions allowed the other 3 scheduled races to take place on this second day of the Meringa Cup - Trofeo Alpe del Garda organised under the Patronage of the Lombardy Region. The 140 athletes from 14 different nations are warming up for the world championship of the optimist class that will take place on Lake Garda at the end of the month. Today's results see the Ukrainian Sviatoslav Madonich in first place in the U16 category and the Italian Andrea Demurtas in the U11 category. Second places went to the Thai Weka Bhanubandh in the U16 category and the Italian Jesper Karlsen in the U11 category. Rocco Wright from Ireland and Artur Brighenti from Italy took third place in the U16 and U11 categories.
